Okay, here's the spiel (wow! it's really spelled like that!?),
My Chemical Romance is my favorite band. Liked them since Revenge days, but developed a new appreciation for them last year (2015) when I FINALLY bought Black Parade and especially, after seeing the "Vampires will Never Hurt You" video and getting into Bullets, then Danger Days...and so on. Really like the music, the positive and meaningful lyrics, and the goodwill the former members have shown to us (their fans) and anyone in need of help.
I got to see Frank (as Frnkiero and the Cellabration) and it was my first ever celebrity meeting and it was sooo awesome!!! I hope to meet the rest some day, but it will probably be separately and not right away.
Been a fan of the band now for almost a year, and have come to love their following, or the "Rmy" just as much. You all are great, and I'm happy to be here!!! -M

I keep going back and forth with my thoughts. Should CW been released on time and as the fourth album? Or is DD the better choice? I always say Danger Days is the better choice...but I suppose this is creatively speaking. Timewise, I believe CW could've been just fine (maybe, although I guess they re-recorded or re, re, what's the word? with the CW releases in 20...12 right?) But...if they had released this sooner, I would've just maybe gotten back into MCR sooner, and could've maybe even seen them in concert! Idk, it's useless to wonder about this though.
But...although I do find Danger Days to be better, as I said creatively speaking, as well as it being more polished, I do have a soft spot for and have some favorite songs from Conventional Weapons.
This thread is to discuss our favorite songs, what we think the songs mean (cuz I'm particularly curious about "Surrender the Night") and just whether or not you think it should have come sooner, should it have been on cd, should it be considered a full album??? Whatever you want! I just want to honor this nice piece of art!
Boy Division and The World is Ugly are my favorites, with The Light Behind Your Eyes adding on there then, Burn Bright, then Surrender the Night, Ambulance, Gun or Make Room/Tomorrow's Money (get these two confused), and finally... Kiss that Ring. Did I miss any???
your turn!

CW was released two songs at a time from the end of 2012 to the beginning of 2013. The last one was released just a month or two before the break-up. I've actually heard that they recorded more than 10 songs for that album, they just chose to only release 10 when they started releasing CW. So if that's true, it means somewhere out there, there are some MCR songs from that time that we've never heard.

My favorites are The Light Behind Your Eyes (definitely in my top 5 mcr songs) and The World is Ugly, so I really like number 3. I do prefer the demo/live version/whatever of The World is Ugly because it has a lot more raw emotion. Still really enjoy the studio version though. I'd say my next favorites are...Ambulance and Surrender the Night? Yeah, I think so. The rest I don't have an order for.

The whatchamacallit person didn't think any of the tracks were good enough to go on an album, hence Danger Days (some of DD tracks were originals, "the one for me..." whatever it's called...maybe and i think Party Poison and...bulletproof heart maybe??? and...like, there were four of them maybe... omg! "The Only Hope for Me Is You" was in Transformers?!!! for real!!! i did not know this at the time! I didn't know it when I heard it later!! hmm Now I have to watch Dark of the moon again!!! yeah, hmm those songs though are in NTLIS...I'm gonna have to go check that again as well, cuz now it's buggin' me!!!

Now that I've listened to all of the Conventional Weapons's songs, I can give my list:
My favourites are Boy Division and Tomorrow's Money, definetely. They're pretty catchy (especially Boy Division!! I'm kind of in love with that one right now haha) Then AMBULANCE is really good, followed by Gun., those sound pretty similar to me, at least they seem to have a similar style Next, I'd put Kiss The Ring (because it's one of the first CW songs I got into) and Burn Bright, although I do really like Surrender The Night too. BB and STN sound pretty similar to be honest, at least to me. These three stand at more or less the same level I guess. These last ones are tough to rate, especially The Light Behind Your Eyes. I like TLBYE personally, but I can't listen to it like every other song. It's a very sad song and that sadness kind of gets to me when I listen to it, so I don't like it as much as the other ones. But I do like the song AND I love how they referenced their older songs on the chorus ("I would SING you to SLEEP"). Intentional or not, I love that part lol. Finally, Make Room!!!! and The World Is Ugly at the bottom, respectively. Not necessarily because they're bad songs, but because I don't listen to them as much as the other ones, especially The World Is Ugly. I guess TWIU doesn't quite connect with me as the other ones... As for Make Room!!!!, I think I just listened to it too much because I had it on my phone. Also because when I'm on the run I tend to stick to the 'classics' like Helena and Teenagers and skip the other songs (unless it's Revenge, I can never skip a song from Revenge unless another song from Revenge is next rofl).
This was really hard to write about! Conventional Weapons is such an underrated album in my opinion, I like all of the songs in general.
